About — Designer, Eunsu Kim

Hello!

My name is Eunsu Kim, a designer currently lives on the East Coast and a recent graduate from Harvard Graduate School of Design.

My design approaches are from human, data, and technology. Most of my research has focused on urban data analytics and design for the public to make cities more equitable and sustainable. I am passionate about civic tech and the future of cities.

I am professionally trained as a landscape architect, UX designer in an agile workplace and a corporate environment, and I also worked as a data visualization specialist at MIT Senseable City Lab. I am always open for opportunities to solve social and urban issues. Currently, I work as UX Engineer at Catalyst Advanced Prototyping Team in IBM Research, mainly conducting user research and designing prototypes to bring AI technologies from lab to market.

I am passionate about what I do, but also enthusiastic about learning new things all the time! From cool stuff to some nerdy skills, like programming languages, data science, tennis, drawing, and ceramics. And fortunately, I am a rapid learner. 😎️

Working with people from all different backgrounds and skillsets has enabled me to be quickly adaptable! I enjoy collaborating with other people and synthesizing ideas and energy to bring innovation. 😍️

As a designer, I have been trained to be sensitive to other people’s feelings and thoughts. Empathy connects me to the users and the world! 🌎️
